 Creamy Savoy Cabbage

1 savoy cabbage
1 medium onion, finely chopped
1/2 cup bacon, diced
2 tbsp butter
ground pepper
1-1/4 cup cream


Halve the cabbage, cut out the stalk and shred the leaves finely.
Heat a large frying pan, add the butter, then the onion and bacon.
Saute until the bacon is crisp and the onion is translucent.
Add the cabbage, season with salt, pepper and nutmeg to taste and cook briefly.
Pour in the cream and reduce the heat to low until the mixture is creamy and the cabbage is tender.
